Giving

At The Seahorse & The Hummingbird, every sale supports more than just game nights and creativity—it helps build a better world through charitable giving.

I’ve committed to donating 1% of every sale to causes that matter. Half of the proceeds generated will go to The Network/La Red, an organization led by survivors that works to end partner abuse in LGBTQ+ communities. The other half will go to The Center for ADHD and Autism Support, which provides education, advocacy, and tools for families navigating neurodivergence.

Why donate? Because companies—especially small, independent ones like mine—have a unique opportunity to lead with purpose. A business doesn’t need to be big to make a difference. It just needs to care. If we believe in community, connection, and creativity at the game table, then those values should extend beyond it too.

This isn’t a marketing gimmick. It’s personal.

I wasn’t diagnosed with ADHD until later in life. Like many late-diagnosed adults, I spent decades trying to make sense of a world that felt overwhelming and out of sync. Supporting neurodivergent individuals, especially kids and families, is a way to offer others the understanding I didn’t have for most of my life.

At the same time, I recognize how deeply systems of oppression affect safety, identity, and agency. Partner abuse in LGBTQ+ relationships is often ignored or misunderstood, and The Network/La Red does powerful, intersectional work to support survivors and challenge the root causes of violence. It’s the kind of work that makes all of us safer.

These causes are personal, but they’re also universal. They’re about creating space—at the table, in our communities, and in the world—for everyone to be themselves, to feel supported, and to thrive. That kind of world doesn’t just happen. It’s built. One step, one voice, one game at a time.

When you buy a game from The Seahorse & The Hummingbird, you’re not just supporting an indie publisher. You’re helping fund real change.

So thank you. Thank you for being here, for playing, and for helping build something that matters.

Think Deep & Play Light—and do good.
