    The Overview

Inside a living brain, the two hemispheres compete to route their impulses across a constantly shifting neural network. In Contralateral, two players go head-to-head to complete a thought in this asymmetric abstract board game. One player operates the logical left hemisphere of the brain while the other player manages the creative right hemisphere.

Each turn, players place or rotate neuron tiles to construct neural pathways, then send their hidden-value impulses moving through the evolving structure. Movement is dictated by the neural layout, which both players are actively shaping and reshaping. Impulses may be captured by opposing signals, blocked by synaptic voids, or halted entirely by strategically placed mental blocks. When an impulse successfully reaches across the opposite hemisphere, it scores its hidden value.

The game ends when one player relays all of their impulses, triggering final scoring. The player who most effectively shapes the brain to favor their own flow of thought, wins!

Contralateral is a tense and tactical spatial strategy game of path-building and hidden information. Can you outthink your opponent?
