The Overview

Conjure your own polyominoes in a 30-minute, zero-downtime flip-and-write puzzle.

In Rune Rite, you play as a powerful witch competing to transcribe ancient magical glyphs onto your scroll. But instead of drawing static shapes from flipped cards, you and your rivals physically build the polyominoes on a shared 3×3 Stone Altar grid before transcribing them.

How the Magic Works

• Construct the Altar: On your turn, draft a Rune card and layer it onto the shared 3×3 grid in one of eight orientations. Overlapping symbols continuously creates new, dynamic polyomino shapes on the fly.
• Simultaneous Play: Choose the best polyomino configuration for your scroll. While you take yours, all other players draft a different shape from the exact same grid at the exact same time. Zero waiting, zero downtime.
• Tactical Trade-offs: Drink potions to enhance your turn or save them for end-game scoring. Leverage Moonstones to your advantage or bury them to stifle your opponents.
